These grades are ordered in relation to the corrosion resistance, ductility, and strength requirements of a specific application. As with anything, to get one property, you give on another. Grade 1 offers the highest corrosion resistance and ductility, and the lowest strength of the four grades, while grade 4 offers the highest strength and moderate ductility.
